I picked up straight away but there was nobody there when I answered the call.

Just a little while back, I got a call from someone speaking English with an Indian accent. He told me to get on my computer to help fix an issue since apparently I was downloading some sort of malware. Being Dutch, I didn’t really feel comfortable trusting him, so I ended the call straight away.

I’ve had these lot ring me about nine times this week alone, and being polite obviously doesn’t make them stop. Now I just tell them where to go. I can’t help but wonder if the government or BT are somehow in cahoots with these scammers, or maybe getting paid by them? Do they not get that folks will just end up cutting their phone lines? Imagine if loads of people did that, might make BT actually do something about it.
