Got a call claiming to be from BT Openreach, but the bloke’s English was all over the place. He said there was some “fraud detected on my internet connection” or something like that. I asked where he was calling from, and he said Braham Street, London. Then I pointed out it was weird they weren’t ringing from an 0207 number but from 01429, which is Harlepool’s code shown on my phone. That’s when he just cut the call. Bit of a joke, really!
