I received a rather unexpected call earlier from a company claiming to be Legal Assurance. They mentioned they were reaching out regarding some recent incident I’d had. Naturally, I was perturbed and inquired who had instructed them to contact me, and how on earth they acquired my phone number. They mentioned something about a 'third party'-which baffled me, as there was no third party involved in my situation at all! Before I could press further, they hung up rather abruptly. Curious, I decided to give the number a ring back, only to discover it belonged to a marketing firm. I'm quite vexed by this, especially since I’m registered with the telephone preference service, which means I really ought not to be receiving such unsolicited calls. - caller: Legal Assurance
