01429212599 - I'm really fed up with this number ringing me. It looks like a Hartlepool area code, but I’m pretty certain it isn’t. When you use 1471 to check, it seems like they’re faking the number to sound like it’s from Hartlepool. Don’t be tricked by it. I reckon the real number might be something like 014 2921 2599. It’s just a marketing call pushing scam compensation claims. Sounds like it could be the same firm that used to ring me from a different number, trying to get me involved in fake industrial deafness claims and telling me to fib to a solicitor who’d call shortly after. I actually told the solicitor what was going on and never heard from that number again. While I’m typing this, they've called twice, and this happens about 7 times a day. Honestly, I’m really over it - these calls need to be stopped.

When I checked the caller ID with 1471, the number appeared a bit weird, like someone’s trying to make it seem like a local Hartlepool code, but don’t fall for it. I’m pretty sure the real number’s 014 2921 2599 or something close to that. It’s one of those marketing calls, probably pushing dodgy compensation claims. I think it’s linked to the same scam company that used to ring me on another number, trying to get me to file industrial deafness claims and even telling me to fib to a solicitor they sent afterwards. I told that solicitor the truth straight away and never got another call from them. Now, this number has called me multiple times just while I’m typing this, sometimes up to seven times a day. Honestly, it’s driving me mad and something should be done to stop them.

They said their number was 08000786333, but when I checked 1471 it showed up as 01429212599. They told me they were from the national workers office and insisted they didn't need to verify TPS, even though it was clearly a sales call. Quite dodgy if you ask me.

It seems like it’s been created to mimic a Hartlepool code, probably just targeting people in the area so they might call back. Whenever I pick up, there’s just silence before they hang up. Once I did call back and I could hear loads of people chatting in the background, so I figured out it’s some kind of call centre and ended the call. I’ve seen on sites like “Who Called Me” that it’s connected with multiple scams like Talk Talk, pension offers, and dodgy compensation claims.

01429212599 rang me up and i could tell straight away it was one of those dodgy compensation calls. they asked if speaking to me by name and then started rambling about me supposedly working in a factory when younger. i said ‘nah, that’s not right’ and they dropped the line straight away. earlier on, they had called my missus but just hung up before saying a word. total waste of time.

Last night, this number called and an English-speaking woman was on the line. My mum picked up first and she asked to speak to me. When I took the phone and said hello, the line just went dead. The number had a Hartlepool area code. I tried ringing back but got an answerphone saying they don’t accept callback calls. It’s got me a bit on edge because I’ve heard of scams like this where if you call them back, they can charge you loads of money.
