I got a call from someone claiming to be Amazon, telling me my account had been fraudulently charged about £1495 and that it was frozen. The message sounded like it was pre-recorded, so I just ended the call. I've reported it to the police fraud unit. Be careful and don’t press any buttons or respond.

Got a call from someone saying they were from HMRC, saying my NI number was involved in some fraud. They asked me to press a button to sort it out, but obviously it was dodgy. I didn’t do anything and just hung up straight away. Why on earth can’t mobile networks just block calls from numbers like 01428 automatically? It’d save us all the hassle.
