Luckily, she knows to be careful and screens her calls now, like I always tell her not to trust strangers on the phone. I looked them up here and honestly, I’m relieved mum didn’t answer. It seems like these people just prey on older folks. She even blew a whistle into the phone! I told her to bugger off and slammed the phone down. These scammers are the worst. I looked the number up and all I found was the name ‘Ginevra’ from just one website. This sort of thing keeps happening, makes me think scammers have somehow taken over that site to route their calls through it. I used BT 1471 to get the last number, searched it online and again found ‘Ginevra’ mentioned. Then I added the number to my blocked calls via BT's free 1572 call blocker. At the moment, my answerphone is active, so calls drop off before the message finishes. Right after, I dial 1471 to get the phone number that rang me. Then, I use BT's free blocking tool by calling 1572 to put the number on the blocked list. From then on, any calls from that number go straight to junk.
