I told her to stop telling such rubbish and asked how she could try scamming people like that. She just shouted “**** you” and hung up on me!

Got a call from a woman saying she was from Visa about two suspicious charges that, apparently, lots of people get. I just kept saying "okay" and "really" to see what she would do next. She asked if the purchases were made in the US, which I said no to, and then she just abruptly ended the call. Didn’t even ask for any details from me. Honestly, I wish I’d told her she was a total scammer from Benchok before she hung up! :D

Just got another call from a scammer again. I told her she must’ve really disappointed her parents by choosing this path and maybe she should find a real job instead of wasting my time. Feels like these dodgy calls are all I’m getting lately. Such nasty people!

I got a call earlier at 1pm from two Indian ladies and a guy claiming they were from the Manchester Fraud team. They asked for the first six digits of my credit card! I then rang the genuine Barclays Fraud line on 0800 151 0900 and guess what? Another Indian bloke answered! I explained the whole thing and just left it with them (not sure what'll happen next though). Absolutely mad, you couldn’t invent it!

This number rang me up and there was a lady speaking with an Indian accent saying that there'd been two big withdrawals from my bank debit card. She then asked for my Postcode but when I wouldn't give it she just cut the call straight away. Seems like a total scam to me. Later I tried calling back, but a recorded message said the number isn't accepting calls right now!

It's really annoying that scam calls like this are such a bother for everyone. Wish someone smart would come up with a way to mess with the scam callers instead. There’s gotta be some kind of good phone blocker out there, right? Maybe one that sends out some sort of high-pitched sound to hurt their ears and make them stop calling. That’d be brilliant!

Got a random call from a woman with a South Asian accent claiming she was ‘Jenny’ from VISA. I asked her to tell me the last four digits of my card to be sure. She refused, saying they don’t share card details. I clarified it was just the last four digits, not the whole number. Before I knew it, ‘Jenny’ abruptly ended the call. Definitely a scam, so I’ve added the number to my block list.

Having been a CID officer in my retired days, I’m pretty clued up about these scam calls. I told him if he was legit, then Visa would already have my address and could just send me a letter. I got a call just like everyone else saying there’d been two transactions adding up to £1300. They passed me to a ‘manager’ who said I should contact my bank but also told me the bank wouldn't catch it because it’s apparently someone inside the bank doing it. I ended the call and phoned my bank straight away, and luckily they told me there wasn't any suspicious activity on my accounts at all.
