They kept ringing me up, each time wanting to speak to a different person at work. I told them to stop and then blocked the number.

Absolutely NOT EDF. This bloke kept calling and getting quite aggressive, claiming he was from EDF and that if I didn’t agree to a contract linked to our variable tariff, they’d switch off our gas. I’ve told them to knock it off multiple times, probably over 30 calls now, and checked right with EDF themselves - no problems with our account at all. Sure, the tariff's pricey but that’s why we stick with variable.

Definitely NOT EDF - if you’re unsure, ring the official number: 01427 882100 - but beware, that number’s always busy and not real. These people are a fraudulent outfit and get really nasty if you ask if they’re legit. When I said I suspected they weren’t from EDF, they started shouting and being really hostile. I ended up speaking to someone called Dave Kumar, supposed account manager, who was super aggressive. Proper scary behaviour.

Scam alert! Someone said they were David from EDF, trying to get me to agree to a new deal. I told them I was going to end the call and ring EDF myself coz I wasn’t convinced at all. Guess what? They just ended the call straight away! Don’t ever give these lot any personal info, they’re not legit!

I’ve gotta say, Ahmed from EDF really went above and beyond for me recently. He sorted out my direct debit without any faff and also pointed out an issue with a landlord’s contract that ended up slashing my daily standing charge by over 300%. So, EDF asked me to update my password because of their new security setup. Later, when I tried to enter my meter reading for the month, it wouldn’t accept the new password. I gave EDF a call and got connected to the helpdesk where a chap called Ben explained the new monthly energy check. He also sent me a link to create a fresh password. Once I’d set it, he rang me to make sure everything was working fine. Honestly, I was really pleased with the help I got from EDF Energy, especially since we switched to them after Green Energy went bust.
