01427 700234 called me earlier, some young lad saying he was from a Data Company or something. He wanted to send someone to our house to check the loft insulation, said it could cause damp and mould. Said it needed looking at tomorrow, which seemed a bit rushed to me. I told him no thanks, but then he started asking how old we were and if we were on Pension Credits. The line kept going silent too, just felt really dodgy all round.

I got a call from a company about my loft insulation, saying something was wrong with it and they planned to come by today to sort it out. When I tried to chat with the caller, it didn’t take long to realise it was a bot, even though the voice seemed quite genuine. I asked for the caller’s name and all I got was “Yes.” I then mentioned I thought I was speaking to a machine, and that’s when they just cut me off.
