Got a call from someone saying they were from Amazon Prime, saying money had been taken from my account. Then they tried to get me to put some remote access app on my phone or laptop to "fix" it. Definitely a scam. If you get a call like this, or someone pretending to be your internet company, just hang up. Legit companies won’t ask you to download any software. Microsoft scams do the same thing too, so be careful.

Got a call the other day from someone saying Amazon Prime charged me and they needed me to let them install some remote access thing on my laptop or phone. Sounded dodgy straight away. If someone rings saying it’s your internet company or Microsoft and asks you to download stuff, just end the call. They’ll never ask for that, it’s all just a trick to steal your info.
