Got a call from someone saying they were from Amazon Prime, saying money had been taken from my account. Then they tried to get me to put some remote access app on my phone or laptop to "fix" it. Definitely a scam. If you get a call like this, or someone pretending to be your internet company, just hang up. Legit companies won’t ask you to download any software. Microsoft scams do the same thing too, so be careful.

I received a dodgy call from someone claiming to be from Amazon Prime, insisting that they’d taken money out of my account. They bizarrely wanted me to download some kind of remote access software on my device. It’s clearly a ploy to take control of my personal information! If you find yourself on the receiving end of a call like this, especially if they purport to be your internet service provider, just hang up immediately. Genuine companies won’t ask you to download anything like that. The same goes for any so-called Microsoft representatives trying to pull the wool over your eyes. Stay vigilant!
