We received a call from this outfit claiming to be a business sellingSmithy jokes and novelties. They insisted that our mother had recently placed an order online, using our phone number to process payment over the phone. However, we knew for certain that she hadn’t been online at all as she had been in hospital throughout the day. It felt as though they had an uncanny familiarity with our mother’s accounts, alleging that we’d face some sort of trouble for this, and were trying to portray me as the villain. They even went as far as to say that our mother had this person’s contact number and that everything would be alright on her end.
