So some company said they were from Consumer Rights, then started blabbering on about Club la Costa. I just knew it was dodgy, and when I called him out, he got all defensive and couldn’t even tell me where he got my details from. He tried asking why he’d bother ringing just to make a quick buck. I turned it back on him and when he had no answer, I told him to jog on and slammed the phone down. He’s been calling pretty much every day since. Finally picked up to call him out. Total scammer, no doubt.

Got a call from some bloke asking to talk to me or my partner. I said straight away, "Is this about a timeshare?" and he admitted it was. Told him I wasn’t having any of it and ended the call. How come these dodgy numbers aren’t blocked or something?

They introduced themselves as the Consumer Advice Centre, but then proceeded to mention a multitude of firms ringing up, claiming they could assist me in exiting a timeshare. They advised me to stick with a specific parent company and to steer clear of the various firms making unsolicited promises over the phone. Interestingly, I never actually confirmed whether I had a timeshare or not. At first glance, it seemed like a genuinely helpful call, but I can’t shake the feeling that if I had continued the conversation, I might have found myself listening to a sales pitch.

A chap rang, wanting to converse either with me or my missus. I enquired whether he was peddling a timeshare, to which he replied, "Indeed, I am." I promptly informed him that I had no interest and ended the call. This number is just one in a barrage of timeshare dodges that seem to bother me on a daily basis. It's quite baffling why these numbers are permitted to operate!
