I answered the call but there was complete silence, just me saying "hello? hello?" before I ended it. Then I tried calling the number back, it just rang and never got picked up after about half a minute, so I gave up. Looked up the number online and landed on this site. I'm registered with the TPS, so I'll be reporting it.

I answered the call but there was nobody speaking, just silence. I said "hello?" a couple of times before putting the phone down. Then I tried calling them back, but it just kept ringing for about half a minute with no one picking up, so I gave up. After that, I looked up the number online and landed on this site. Got a call from someone saying they were from my bank, talking about some transfers that apparently didn’t fit my usual spending. Real banks always use your name and mention the last 4 numbers on your card, so that’s what I expected. I've got this recorded message six times in the last six weeks saying my card was used for £300 on Amazon and £1200 abroad. It's totally dodgy and sounds like a classic scam. This was obviously a scam, trying to nick your cash. An automated call told me that over £1000 had been withdrawn from my bank via Amazon and some stranger. They wanted me to hit 1 to stop the payment or 2 to chat with their "support" team. The robot voice was really broken up, sounds like it was chopped from loads of different clips. SCAM ALERT! Got a couple of calls early this morning, picked up the first one and it was some automated voice saying it was from my bank about two dodgy charges (one was £300 for Amazon Prime).
