Just got a call from 01425612329, and honestly, they ring me all the time claiming to be from BT Openreach. Today, as soon as I answered, the line went dead. I'm usually at home and have some health issues, so this constant pestering is really upsetting. I also know an elderly woman who fell for a fake team like this, giving them access to her computer and bank details. Luckily, they only managed to withdraw £45 before we blocked her card, but they would have taken more otherwise. It’s definitely a scam and these people are total scammers!

Some woman rang me up going on about the usual rubbish, saying they needed to get into my computer and all that. I told her straight up we don’t entertain random cold calls, especially with all the scammers about these days. I told her if there really was an issue, she could send a letter instead. Sounds like the classic “Bt open reach” scam call again. They claimed my internet was being used by strangers and begged me to switch on my computer. I told them it was already on, then they asked what was showing on my screen. I said just the normal LINUX start screen and they just ended the call. Bit cheeky really, I was tempted to mess with them a bit more but nope, they hung up on me LOL.
