Got a call from someone claiming to be from a pension audit firm looking for me. I told one of them I'd fetch the person and then bunged the phone under a towel for about 20 minutes. They’ve kept ringing over the past few days, and after reading other reviews, it's clear they’re not legit. Hopefully they liked the muffled sounds through the towel!

Whenever I tried to get them to explain more, they either dodged my questions or just didn’t reply. Looking back, I wish I’d taken on board the advice someone gave on 16/09/2016 (see below) - I've jotted those tips down now since I’m pretty sure they’ll ring me again eventually.

Somebody called claiming to be from a pension audit firm. They really pushed me to hand over some documents and said they'd send a courier to pick them up, which I haven’t arranged. It’s pretty odd because I couldn’t find any info about them online at all.

Like with any cold call, you should always request their company registration and VAT numbers. With this firm especially, they get quite annoyed when you ask for their FCA number and such. So definitely ask for these details and be firm about it to make sure their call is genuine.

They called asking for my hubby but when I said he wasn’t here, they told me it was about a pension review or something and then just hung up on me.

At one point they said they’d send a courier to collect some papers they claimed I had signed.

Seriously, watch out and just tell them to shove off. What a load of rubbish.

Got a call today about some pension paperwork. Started chattin’ with a lass who said she’d pass me on to someone else for more details. When I got through, I tried asking questions but then said I wanted to end the call. The bloke told me to “hang on and listen” but I just ended the call right there.

Got a call on 13th August 2015 around half past five in the evening. There was a loads of background noise, definitely sounded like one of those call centres. Couldn’t make out exactly what the woman was saying, but it seemed like something about a pension statement? When I told her I couldn’t hear properly, she said the same and then just ended the call! Anyone know who these lot are?
