7 yearsI suspect this might be a bit of a dodgy operation. A lady rang me up claiming to be from 'the surgery' and inquired if I was 'X's' flatmate, which I confirmed. She proceeded to say she was after the contact info for X's husband, insisting that X supposedly didn't speak any English. I promptly informed her that X indeed does and that she isn't wed. The caller then backtracked, admitting she'd received incorrect information, before abruptly ending the call. I've since shared the number with my flatmate, who attempted to return the call but got no answer. In hindsight, I realise I should have been more alert to the oddities of the situation.
