Got a call from someone saying they were with BT's internet security team, warning me about hackers messing with my line. I told them I’m not actually with BT, but they insisted BT keeps an eye on the internet security for everyone in the UK. Well, that’s very generous of them to offer a free service like that! When I pointed out that the caller themself was up to dodgy business, trying to scare me into giving access to my computer, they snapped back with a “listen here, ma’am,” and then just hung up. Absolutely priceless!
