I nearly called back because I do have a hospital visit booked for next month, but something felt off since the hospital always sends me a letter to confirm - they never ever ring me. I keep receiving calls from this number multiple times a day, almost every couple of days. It's so frustrating because it doesn't seem to be a legitimate company or anything. I'm signed up with the phone preference service, so I normally don’t get junk calls at all. The annoying part is I have to shell out money to block these calls on my landline, which is a bit of a nuisance for my budget. There really ought to be a better way to report and stop these calls, and to take these bogus companies off the air.

This weekend I got calls every couple of hours from the same number. Each time, no one would say who they were when my BT 85000 call-guardian answered, so I blocked the number. Even after blocking, they kept ringing, which my phone flagged as rejected. Honestly, it felt really unsettling and quite stressful. Because of the nonstop calls to a blocked line, I decided to report it to Sussex Police under the Harassment Act 1997. The police told me it’s likely a scam and warned me not to return the calls. They doubt the number is genuinely linked to the NHS and are now looking into it further.
