3 yearsI really do hope I haven't fallen victim to a scam! This bloke told me I'd won some sort of competition that aired on the telly. All I had to do was cough up £1.99 for postage to get my hands on a magazine, alongside entries for some other contests. Plus, they promised me a whole load of lottery tickets too. Since I saw the ad on the box and had taken part in the wordsearch, I thought I'd go ahead with it. Apparently, my prizes are meant to arrive sometime next week! Fingers crossed!5 yearsI received a rather dubious call from this number, in which they requested £1.95 for postage related to some prizes. Thankfully, I paused before making any payment and inquired about their identity. It struck me as rather fishy, and I suspect it's a scam.6 yearsFor the past three months, I've noticed a monthly deduction of £8.25 from my account, and the reference linked to it is this phone number. I've definitely not authorised this transaction! It reads "WORDSEARCH WINNER" - I'm beginning to suspect it’s tied to one of those dreadful shopping channels that pop up at all hours. It’s not a regular Direct Debit either, so I’m at a loss as to how to halt these payments. I’ll be reaching out to the bank first thing tomorrow!Direct DebitSubmit Your Own Report (01424 797531)
