Got loads of calls from some dodgy places in India, clearly fake call centres LOL. I told them off, but they just kept ringing me from all sorts of different numbers like 03158847457. They said they were from BT or something, always ringing between 9 and 10 in the morning UK time, which is when older folks are usually up. Watch out for these scammers!

Got a call from someone saying they were with BT, telling me to install some software to boost my Internet's security. It was a lady with a really thick Asian accent and she came across as quite pushy and rude. I tried to talk it through but she wouldn't listen at all. After I ended the call, she rang back several times. She also tried to scare me by saying they’d cut off my internet - which thankfully never happened.

Got a call but no voicemail left, probably a spammer or something. I usually just let unknown numbers ring off or answer and leave them listening to the radio news till they get bored and hang up. If they want to waste my time, I'm gonna return the favour!

Just got a dodgy call from 01424 717272. It was some weird American robot voice telling me that 2 payments were going out from my bank - one for £300 to Amazon and another for £1400. Then it said to press 1 to make the payments or press 2 to stop them. Definitely a scam, watch out for these fraudsters!

Some bloke with a foreign accent rang up saying there was something wrong with my computer but never explained what exactly. My missus picked up and told him I’d sort any issues myself, but he claimed it was too complicated for me. She quickly hung up after that. What creeped me out was he already knew her name and our address right from the start, even asked if he was speaking to her. I’m based in County Down, Northern Ireland.

Looks like a scam but honestly, it felt pretty legit, even for someone like me who’s usually super careful and quick to say no. I didn’t get tricked, luckily. The callers were really pushy, saying I had to urgently verify my Microsoft licence ID to keep hackers out. They even rang me back a bunch of times from different 01 numbers, but I made sure not to pick up. Definitely something to watch out for.

Some bloke rang saying he was from Microsoft, said he was working out of Reading and even dropped a postcode. When he tried finding out if I was at my computer, I cheekily asked if I had to enter some sorta code for him to snag all my info. Then I asked if his mum was aware he’s up to this. After that, dead quiet on the line.

Somebody rang me saying they were from Microsoft and warned that my licence was going to be blocked because a hacker was supposedly using it. The person on the phone spoke with a thick foreign accent and got really annoyed and quite rude when I said I was onto their scam. He even threatened to block my laptop himself. No official Microsoft rep would ever behave like that to a customer.
