I received a call from a chap named Michael representing Expert Saving. It was evident that it was a scam attempt; his command of English left much to be desired. He had a distinct Asian accent and it was apparent he was ringing from a call centre.

Not sure what was going on with that number, but since it wasn’t important I just didn’t pick up and ended up blocking it.

Not sure who it was, but they kept wanting to know my name and if this was my address. Got really fishy, so I ended up hanging up and blocking the number straight away!

Today, I got a call from 01980 881989, a woman with a strong accent talking about council tenants or something so I hung up straight away. Then this evening, the same number rang again and my partner answered. The guy asked for me specifically and started going on about council tenants again. Honestly, it felt really pushy and annoying!

I didn’t pick up since the number wasn’t saved in my contacts. Seems like it’s one of those scam calls.

Not sure what’s going on, but they’ve rang me about 5 times in the last hour, between around 5.30 and 6.30 in the evening. The calls were all on silent so I only just saw I’d missed them. I wouldn’t have answered them anyway, but it makes me wonder if they’re targeting pensioners or vulnerable people who live in council flats or something? Feels like harassment at best, maybe trying to get bank info or worse. This number’s totally unknown to me, never seen it before.

Total scam. I pretended to go along with it, but they were just fishing for my bank info. They claimed they’d help me get money from the council, like thousands of quid for some damp problem. The whole thing was done really badly by this bloke from Pakistan who first called himself John, then switched to Mike on the next call.

So this number called me for the first time and the bloke just ended the call after muttering to himself for about 47 seconds. Definitely sounded like a scam, probably some kind of expert or something. Total waste of time.

Got a call from 01424 617221, they were asking if I lived in council housing and if I was having any issues. They already had my name and address, which was a bit creepy. I’m not actually a council tenant, but I just went along with what they were saying anyway.

I received a call from a bloke of Asian descent who seemed to know my name and my previous address, which I haven't occupied for more than a decade. He initiated the conversation claiming he was conducting a survey. Then, abruptly, he ended the call. Strange, to say the least!

I received a call somewhere around tea time, between six and seven in the evening. I didn’t get the chance to chat with the bloke on the other end. My partner answered it but stayed silent. The number flashed up as potentially dodgy, so I figured it was wiser not to engage. Better safe than sorry, I suppose!

An Asian gentleman rang my mother at 19:50. When I picked up the phone, he claimed to be associated with council complaints or something of that nature. I had a bit of a go at him, and he quickly responded that he must have misdialled.
