Got a call from what looked like a local Hastings number saying it was Amazon, but you could tell it was a call centre from somewhere overseas. I went along with it for a bit just to see what happens, but they quickly hung up once it was clear I wasn’t fooled. Really worried about older folks getting caught out by these scams, especially since the number uses a local East Sussex code. It’s sneaky how they try to sound legit.
