This number kept ringing me loads of times, and I finally picked up out of sheer curiosity. It was a woman saying she was carrying out a survey for NatWest Business Banking - which is my bank too. She asked quite a few questions that sounded proper, though some didn’t make much sense (which seems normal for NatWest’s surveys, if you ask me). There was no sign of any scam or phishing whatsoever. To me, it seemed like a legit call, more about gathering opinions on the bank rather than trying to get any personal account details - which I’m sure they won’t be happy about!

I keep receiving calls from a seemingly well-spoken gentleman-let’s say he goes by Paul. When I answer, he always asks for my wife, but when I inquire further, he claims he’s conducting a survey regarding her bank account. Strangely, he won't mention which bank it is or provide my wife's name. He claims to represent Nunwood Research, but there’s no way to verify that. What’s more, he doesn’t limit himself to a single call and tends to ring me at the most inconvenient moments. I’ve opted out of cold calling with the Telephone Preference Service and my number is ex-directory, so I suspect he’s just dialling random digits. He appears to be based in Hastings, and I feel it would be wise for someone to investigate this matter. I must stress the importance of not engaging with him and absolutely do not return his calls.

A calm, well-spoken gentleman with a clear English accent calls and gives himself a name like Paul. When someone picks up, he asks straight away to speak to the wife. If you ask him what it’s about, he claims it’s a survey concerning her bank account, but won’t say which bank. He also mentions he’s from a company called Nunwood surveys, though offers no proof. He’s persistent and doesn’t just call once, often phoning at odd hours. My number is ex-directory and registered with the Telephone Preference Service, so I reckon he’s probably guessing numbers. The line is based in Hastings. Someone really needs to track him down and put a stop to it. Best advice is just ignore the call and definitely do not call back.
