Received a call at half past five this evening. I answered with a greeting and paused, expecting a reply. After a brief silence, I repeated my hello, to which a chap responded with my surname and then abruptly apologised before disconnecting. Quite peculiar, I must say. Given the uniqueness of my surname, it was clear they were after me, hence my decision to search for their number here. Could be a ploy to lure unsuspecting folks into ringing back on an expensive line? Who's to say, but one thing's for sure - I won't be returning that call!

Received a peculiar call on my mobile a short while ago at half past five. I picked up and greeted them, but there was a bit of a pause. I repeated my greeting, and then a gentleman suddenly piped up with, "Ah, good afternoon Mr (my surname)," before hastily exclaiming "oh, my apologies" and promptly disconnecting. Quite strange, if you ask me. Considering my surname is rather distinctive, there’s no doubt in my mind they were reaching out to me, which is why I ended up investigating their number here. I can’t help but suspect it might be some sort of dodgy ploy to get unwitting folks to ring back a number that’ll cost them a packet. I, for one, won’t be returning their call.

This number keeps ringing me, yet there’s complete silence on the other end when I pick up. It’s becoming quite frustrating, whoever you are!

I received a rather perplexing call from this number, claiming they had my file from a lawyer regarding my accident. Naturally, I was miffed and retorted, “Oh, you mean the time my car was totalled? I ended up with broken arms and legs, spending days in hospital!” When he asked for the date of the incident, I quipped, “Why don’t you enlighten me since you supposedly have my details?” He then accused me of jesting about the mishap. I shot back, “And do you find it amusing to ring up strangers and discuss their supposed accidents?” In the end, he decided to cut the conversation short and hang up! What a ridiculous encounter!
