Just got a call around 5:30 this evening. I answered and said hello, but there was silence for a bit, so I said hello again. Then a bloke answered saying “Oh, hello Mr [my last name]” but quickly said “oh sorry” and hung up straight away. Quite strange really. My surname isn’t common, so it was definitely meant for me, which is why I checked the number here. Could be some kind of scam to make you ring back on an expensive line? Not sure, but I’m not risking calling it back that's for sure.

Received a peculiar call on my mobile a short while ago at half past five. I picked up and greeted them, but there was a bit of a pause. I repeated my greeting, and then a gentleman suddenly piped up with, "Ah, good afternoon Mr (my surname)," before hastily exclaiming "oh, my apologies" and promptly disconnecting. Quite strange, if you ask me. Considering my surname is rather distinctive, there’s no doubt in my mind they were reaching out to me, which is why I ended up investigating their number here. I can’t help but suspect it might be some sort of dodgy ploy to get unwitting folks to ring back a number that’ll cost them a packet. I, for one, won’t be returning their call.

I keep getting calls from this number but when I pick up, no one says a word. It's really starting to get on my nerves, whoever you are.

So this number rang me up saying they got my case file from a lawyer about an accident I'd supposedly been in. I was annoyed and snapped back, "Yeah, my car got wrecked and written off! I broke both my arms and legs and was stuck in hospital for ages!" Then they asked me when it happened, and I told them to tell me since they have the file. They then said, "Do you find it funny making up an accident?" I shot back, "Do you find it funny calling people up claiming they've been in one?" In the end, they just ended the call.
