This guy said he was calling from E.ON energy, but then started chatting about some other firm that lets you renew your deal a whole year before it ends. I asked him where in my E.ON contract it says anything about renewing that early, just so I could check it myself. He replied, “I don’t see what the fuss is, ma’am. I work for your provider, you can trust me.” I said, “Well, if I’m to trust you, then tell me exactly when my contract finishes.” Next thing, he just hung up. That told me everything I needed to know.
