I got a call from someone saying there was an issue with my electricity last week, which wasn’t true. They wanted details about our energy provider and kept phoning me even after I told them no. Eventually, I hung up, but they continued calling, and this time I just didn’t pick up.

They called me pretending to be from an energy provider, but I'm pretty sure it's a scam.

I just got a call from someone claiming to be with EDF, but we don’t even use their service. They wanted some info from me. I asked if they could send me an email instead, and they got pretty annoyed, demanding I give them the details right away. I ended the call because they started getting quite confrontational. Then they rang back and wouldn’t let me say anything, so I ended the call again.

Got a call from some folks who claimed to be from an energy company, asking for billing details, and they wouldn’t take no for an answer. They kept saying they were from e.on, but something didn’t feel right so we ended the call. They definitely sounded a bit dodgy and kept fibbing about who they really were.

Got a call from some sketchy utility place, sounded like an Asian call centre, saying they were from my electricity provider. They wanted me to confirm my smart meter details, but I don’t even have one! When I said no way, they threatened to report me to British Gas, which I’m not even a customer of. Proper muppets.
