Got a call from some bloke called Luke claiming it was from a lottery. He tried to get my partner to give away her full name, birthday, address and phone number before he suddenly ended the call. Feels a bit dodgy now. Best just to ignore these calls and hang up straight away.

Got a call claiming to be from the lottery, saying I’d won 10 free tickets for next Wednesday or something. Didn’t realise it was dodgy till I’d already told them my house number :/ they somehow had my name and address beforehand! They asked for my email and birthday as well, but I didn’t give it to them and made up a fake birthday instead, then told them to send any info through the post.

Some bloke named Mark rang me, saying I’d bagged 10 free lottery tickets. I told him to just send them over. That wasn’t the finish though. I ended up spending a good 18 minutes messing him about, never actually giving him any info. Absolutely loved it when he eventually threw in the towel!

She read out my address and I double-checked it was right. But I was confused why she said Harrogate when I thought the lottery was based in Watford. She didn’t ask for any bank info or passwords, which I wouldn’t have given anyway. I’ve reached out to the official national lottery to check if this is legit. Now I’m just waiting to see if anything actually turns up in the post.
