01422861599 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01422861599 👆 is reported as a contentious number linked to PPI claim calls supposedly from Halifax or Lloyds Banking Group. While some users confirm its authenticity after direct verification with Lloyds, many others experience unsolicited, suspicious calls and texts requesting personal information under the guise of PPI reviews. Official Halifax or Lloyds communication typically comes through verified numbers or written correspondence, so unsolicited calls from this number often raise fraud concerns. Callers sometimes pressure recipients for data or bank details, prompting advice to avoid engaging, insist on written communication, and verify via official bank channels. Owing to mixed reports, caution is paramount: treat calls from this number with scepticism, never share sensitive information by phone, and consult your bank branch directly to confirm legitimacy.

definitely a legit call. lloyds bank (halifax belongs to lloyds too) about some ppi claims from more than a year back. they were really helpful, i was a bit wary and rang lloyds myself to check: no scam, luckily!

I've had quite a few calls from 08001615175 and 01422861599, with them saying they're from Lloyds Banking Group. It’s got to be possible to track down these fraudsters, right? Feels like they’re getting away with it far too easy.

Got a call from a lady saying she was from Lloyds PPI department. She told me to ring back on 01422861599 or 08001615175 and said she’d keep trying to get hold of my wife. Both numbers are dodgy. The only real number is 0800 151 0292. This is clearly a scam, don’t be fooled by it. Also, don’t trust the reviews here claiming these calls are legit - they’re likely written by the scammers themselves!

someone supposedly from halifax bank got in touch about a ppi claim, told me to ring this number back. i’ve never even made a ppi claim so it’s got scam written all over it. i’m not planning on calling back, bet they’ll keep hassling me tho. i’ve told them to send me info in writing (like a legit bank would) but who knows.

Totally a SCAM, no doubt about it. I got a call and they left a voicemail pretending to be from RBS. I called RBS myself to check and they told me that number isn’t even theirs! So watch out!

Today I got a call from the number 01422 861599 about my PPI claim, which I've already handed over to my solicitor. The person on the phone spoke with an Indian accent and claimed to be phoning from my bank, Halifax. He mentioned he’d ring me again in a couple of days but left this number for me to ring back. After checking your site, it seems like this might be a scam? Also, the caller didn’t give a name.

this number really belongs to halifax in the uk. the landline is located right in halifax. lloyds took over halifax back in 2009. even the 0800 number is legit. i’ve done loads of digging to check this out.

Got a phone call and some texts saying they were from Lloyds, but when they started asking for my bank info, I knew it was dodgy. I called Lloyds myself and they said the number I got wasn’t theirs. Also checked the 08001615175 number and it’s not real either. Best to just ignore these.

Got a few messages and missed calls off this number saying they were from Lloyds. Felt fishy when they started asking for my bank info. Best not to reply. I called Lloyds myself and they said they have no idea about this number or the 0800 1615175 one they gave me. Watch out for scams like this.

They've rang me a couple of times already. The first time it showed up as a Private number, so I told them to send me whatever it is they want in writing. Today, they rang again but this time left a number. Had a quick look and it matched this one. I reckon I’ll just wait and see if they try again, but I’m definitely not calling back.

Got a bloke named Ade from Lloyds ringing me up about a PPI claim - said he needed extra info about it. Something felt off, like he was trying to sneak in asking for my bank details. Told him to give me a number and that I’d ring him back. He gave me 01422 861599 and 0800 161 5175. I’m just gonna call Lloyds myself to see if this is legit or a scam.

Last night about 8:30 I received a voicemail on my mobile from this number, sounding quite legit. Then, the same foreign-sounding person called my work landline. I’m not answering or calling back. If they genuinely want to get in touch, they should send me a proper letter explaining the policy stuff and warn me they might ring. Just ringing outta the blue and expecting me to hand over info? No thanks. I’ll be raising this with Lloyds’ complaints team - if it really is Lloyds, that is.

While I was on holiday in London, I got a bunch of calls and voicemails on my mobile about checking my PPI claim from way back in 2014. They gave me this number and a freephone 0800 to call. When I got back home, I found the exact same messages waiting on my landline answerphone. Seems dodgy to me... a scam, maybe?

Got a call earlier about some ppi claim thing, but I was told ages ago that banks dont usually call you, they just send letters in the post. So yeah, im not gonna bother calling back.

Did you ever receive your cheque in the end?

I had almost the exact same ring from a number and after digging around online, I figured it was probably some kind of scam, so I just left it and didn’t bother returning their call.

How much time passed between their initial call and when they supposedly sent a letter? It’s been nearly four weeks for me now and still no word at all.

This number belongs to Lloyds Banking Group for sure, so it’s not a scam. They’re going over PPI claims that were turned down before. They’ll wanna gather some details from you, which usually takes about half an hour. Questions might be about your job status, whether you had sickness benefits, your wage, stuff like that. They won’t ask for your banking info at all. Once you finish the call, they say your claim will be reassessed, and if it’s approved, they’ll post a cheque to you.

This number is from the Lloyds PPI claims team - because of fines, they’re going over all cases that were either ignored or denied. I double-checked the number through Lloyds online banking, so it’s legit and independent. The 20-minute call is to fill out a complaint form, kind of like the Ombudsman process. Then they send it off and you hear back in a few weeks if it’s approved. If yes, you get your money back. Not a scam at all, but if you’re unsure - as I was - just chat with your agent through Lloyds directly or pop into your local branch. Easy as that.

I’ve had a couple of calls from people claiming to be with Lloyds Bank about a supposed PPI review - sounded proper convincing but it’s definitely fake! If it were legit, Lloyds would send you a letter, no doubt. The same numbers keep popping up, with callers saying they’re from Halifax and others, so it’s definitely dodgy. Watch out! Loads of PPI firms were rubbish, just sending one letter and then sitting back while customers gave up and contacted the bank themselves to get their money. Now, these useless companies are scrambling through old cases trying to grab commissions for doing practically nothing. So, don’t be fooled, avoid answering their questions! If you need to check anything, just go straight to your bank. And my advice? Always ask anyone who phones to put what they say in writing first!

I got a voicemail from Halifax, left this number and an 0800 one too. Figured it might be dodgy so I didn’t bother ringing back. Then today, a letter arrived saying my PPI claim was accepted (which I never even made) and telling me the amount and that a cheque’s on its way. Fingers crossed it turns up…

Just got a call from this lot, the number showed up as 'unknown' on my phone. I was behind the wheel so ignored it at first, but they rang back three times. Eventually, they left a voicemail with two numbers - one was an 0800 and the other looked like 01422861599. The caller claimed to be from Lloyds, saying they were checking on my PPI. I was daft enough to call them back but didn't hand over any info. How on earth did they get my number? They asked where I lived, but I told them I'd moved, so hopefully their details are wrong. The woman said they were sorting out PPI payouts and filling the form would take 20 minutes. I told her not to bother and hung up quick! I'm going to pop into Lloyds and tell them about this. Feels proper dodgy if you ask me.

Just got a call showing up as 'unknown' on my phone, so I ignored it. Later, I got a voicemail from someone saying something about the "Bank of Scotland" and PPI. The caller left a number, which was either a landline or a freephone 0800 161 5175, along with a reference number. At first, it didn’t seem suspicious, but after looking through these comments, I’m now not so sure about calling back... might be best to be cautious.

They called me claiming to be from Lloyds bank about a complaint letter I supposedly sent about PPI. Thing is, I never sent any complaint and my PPI issues were all sorted directly with my actual bank. It’s worrying how they got hold of my phone number in the first place! I’m planning to visit my local branch soon. No doubt about it, this is a total SCAM!!

Got a call from someone claiming to be Lloyds Bank about PPI. I asked them for a phone number to check if it was legit. Instead of ringing that number, I called Lloyds myself straightaway. Turns out the number they gave wasn't actually Lloyds, so don’t bother calling back or picking up if they ring you from it. Definitely a scam.
