01422861599 Summary (Read all comments)

Phone number ☎️ 01422861599 👆 is reported as a contentious number linked to PPI claim calls supposedly from Halifax or Lloyds Banking Group. While some users confirm its authenticity after direct verification with Lloyds, many others experience unsolicited, suspicious calls and texts requesting personal information under the guise of PPI reviews. Official Halifax or Lloyds communication typically comes through verified numbers or written correspondence, so unsolicited calls from this number often raise fraud concerns. Callers sometimes pressure recipients for data or bank details, prompting advice to avoid engaging, insist on written communication, and verify via official bank channels. Owing to mixed reports, caution is paramount: treat calls from this number with scepticism, never share sensitive information by phone, and consult your bank branch directly to confirm legitimacy.

I’ve been receiving numerous calls from the numbers 01422861599 and 08001615175, with individuals purporting to be representatives of the Lloyds Banking Group. Can these fraudsters be identified and ultimately held accountable?

Got a call from a lady saying she was from Lloyds PPI department. She told me to ring back on 01422861599 or 08001615175 and said she’d keep trying to get hold of my wife. Both numbers are dodgy. The only real number is 0800 151 0292. This is clearly a scam, don’t be fooled by it. Also, don’t trust the reviews here claiming these calls are legit - they’re likely written by the scammers themselves!

someone supposedly from halifax bank got in touch about a ppi claim, told me to ring this number back. i’ve never even made a ppi claim so it’s got scam written all over it. i’m not planning on calling back, bet they’ll keep hassling me tho. i’ve told them to send me info in writing (like a legit bank would) but who knows.

This is unquestionably a scam that we're dealing with here. I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from RBS who left a message. However, I contacted RBS directly and they confirmed that the number does not belong to them in any way.

Today I got a phone call from 01422 861599 about my PPI claim, which I've already entrusted to my solicitor. The person on the line spoke with an Indian accent and claimed to be ringing from Halifax-my bank. He mentioned he would ring back in a few days and left this number for me to get in touch. After checking your site, I’m starting to wonder if this might be a scam? No specific name was provided by the caller.

Received a phone call supposedly from Lloyds, accompanied by text messages, but quickly discerned that it was a scam when they requested my bank details. It is important not to respond to them. I took the initiative to contact Lloyds directly and they confirmed that the number used was unfamiliar to them. Furthermore, please note that the number 08001615175 provided by the scammers is also fake.

Got a few messages and missed calls off this number saying they were from Lloyds. Felt fishy when they started asking for my bank info. Best not to reply. I called Lloyds myself and they said they have no idea about this number or the 0800 1615175 one they gave me. Watch out for scams like this.

They have called me twice already. The calls appeared on my mobile as coming from a Private number, so I questioned their identity and requested all communication in written form. Today, I received another call which left a number. I investigated and found that it was from the same person or organization. For now, I will wait to see what unfolds next, but I have no intention of returning their call.

Got a bloke named Ade from Lloyds ringing me up about a PPI claim - said he needed extra info about it. Something felt off, like he was trying to sneak in asking for my bank details. Told him to give me a number and that I’d ring him back. He gave me 01422 861599 and 0800 161 5175. I’m just gonna call Lloyds myself to see if this is legit or a scam.

Last night at 8:30 pm, I received a voicemail on my mobile phone from an unknown number. The voice sounded odd. Surprisingly, I also received a call at my office landline from the same foreign-sounding person. I have no intentions of returning their call. If they wish to communicate with me, they ought to send me a letter containing all the policy information. They should make it clear in the letter that phone calls may be made. It is not appropriate for them to randomly cold-call and expect me to provide personal information over the phone. If indeed this is a matter involving LLoyds, I will be lodging a formal complaint with their complaint department.

During my recent vacation in London, I was contacted via calls and voicemails on my mobile, urging me to review my PPI claim from 2014. They provided me with a number to call back, as well as an 0800 number. However, upon returning home, I discovered the same messages on my landline answering machine. It makes me question whether this is a potential scam or not.

I recently received a call about a PPI claim, but I was always taught that banks never call you, they normally send letters instead. As a result, I will not be returning the call.

Have you received your cheque yet?

I received a similar phone call, and upon doing some research online, I concluded it was a phishing scam. Therefore, I chose not to return their call.

How much time elapsed between their call and when they sent a letter? It has been approximately a month for me, and I haven't received any correspondence from them.

Rest assured, this is a legitimate contact from the official Lloyds Banking group. They are currently re-examining PPI cases that were initially rejected. To proceed with the review, they require additional information from you, which will take approximately 20-30 minutes of your time. This information will revolve around factors such as your employment status, any received sickness benefits, and your salary. It's important to note that they will not request any bank details during this call. Once the call concludes, they will inform you that your case will be thoroughly reassessed. If the outcome is favorable, they will send you a cheque by mail.

This is the contact number for Lloyd's PPI claim team. They are currently reviewing accounts that were not previously considered or were rejected due to fines they received. We confirmed this number through Lloyd's online banking system, which is completely independent. The purpose of the 20-minute call is to assist you in completing an Ombudsman type claim form, which will then be submitted for assessment. You will receive a response within a few weeks to determine if your claim is successful. If approved, you will receive the compensation you are entitled to. It is important to note that this is not a scam. However, if you have any doubts, I recommend speaking to a representative via Lloyd's direct or visiting your nearest branch.

I received a voicemail from Halifax with a contact number along with an 0800 number. Being skeptical, I decided not to call them as I thought it might be a scam. Today, I received a letter stating that my PPI complaint had been validated (even though I didn't file a complaint). The letter mentioned the amount and informed me that a cheque would be sent in the mail. Fingers crossed... Here's hoping!

I just received a phone call from someone, but they called from an unknown number. Since I was driving at the time, I didn't answer the call, so they called me back three times. Eventually, they left a voicemail which included two contact numbers: one with an 0800 prefix and the other one is 01422861599. In the voicemail, they claimed to be from Lloyds and mentioned that they were reviewing my PPI. I made the mistake of calling them back, but I didn't provide any personal information. I am curious about how they obtained my number though. When they asked for my address, I informed them that I had moved, so they won't have the correct one on file. The person on the call mentioned that they were reviewing PPI payouts and stated that it would take around 20 minutes to complete a form. I promptly told her not to bother and ended the call. I think it's best to go directly into a Lloyds branch and inform them about this situation. It all seems very suspicious to me.

I recently received a voicemail requesting that I call this number from the Halifax PPI claim team. They claimed it was regarding a complaint I had made, but I haven't actually made any complaints. I received a call from an unidentified number today, but I chose not to answer. Shortly after, I discovered a voicemail from someone claiming to be from the "Bank of Scotland." They mentioned something about PPI, but the beginning of the message was unclear. Surprisingly, they left a contact number for me to call, which was 0800 161 5175, and provided a reference number as well. Initially, I didn't find anything suspicious about it, but after reading some concerning experiences shared by others, I now have reservations about returning the call.

I received a phone call from someone claiming to be from Lloyds bank. They mentioned my letter of complaint regarding PPI, but I have never sent such a complaint as my PPI was already handled by my bank. I am worried about how they obtained my contact details. I will go to my bank on the high street to address this matter because I strongly suspect it is a scam.
