Got loads of calls from this number over the last few days. 01422 821267, seems like it's Halifax. Today at 10.09 I answered as the answerphone wasn’t on. The line was rubbish and the guy had a thick northern accent. I couldn’t make out properly what he was saying, but he said something about being from British Gas. I asked him to say it again and he just said “Oh, don’t bother” and hung up. Looks like one of those dodgy calls. Definitely need to report to the Telephone Preference Service, maybe Halifax Trading Standards and even the police for phishing. Sounds like a right scammer.

JLS was posting stuff on Facebook and thats why I decided to check the number out. I didn’t put in much info, just a link so I could find out more, and now like 2 hours later, I’m getting a phone call. Bit creepy if you ask me.

These folks should seriously be blacklisted, keep ringing me up about a ‘maintenance check’ that’s totally unnecessary. They never pay attention to what you ask. Honestly, just steer clear of them!

JLA, who supply the commercial washer and dryer we rent, keeps insisting we get our ducts cleaned and say we have to prove it’s done (which isn’t right if you look after it properly yourself). We handle our own cleaning, as we have an in-house maintenance crew. They try to pressure you into paying for a service that costs about £300, but when you say no, they only reduce the price by 20%.

I've been dealing with JLA for around six months now. Used to have a service plan with British Gas for my heating which cost me thousands yearly. Got in touch with a bloke named Keith at JLA - he really knows his stuff and I chat with him regularly about all my heating needs and safety checks. Some bloke was really cheeky, saying there’s no fee for fixing our catering gear, but when I pushed him, he didn’t say no to us being stuck with a monthly maintenance charge. Definitely give it a miss.

Got a call from a lady asking for my coworker who isn't here today. She mentioned she'd chatted with them a few weeks back and wanted to check if we're ready to "proceed" with some laundry gear. Feels like a pushy sales call to me since we do run hostels but I doubt we'd be needing new laundry machines. Honestly, I’d never purchase anything just because someone called me. If I needed something, I'd look for it myself.
