Got a robocall the other day, it asked me some questions and then played a recorded message based on what I said. Now they're trying to trick folks by talking about energy, insulation and offering 'help' with expensive bills. Bit dodgy if you ask me!

They rang me about the gas for my place. When I asked which property, the person got all cheeky and replied, "The one you own." Total scammers, best just to ignore and block them.

Some bloke rang me claiming he was from Sky and was gonna lower the price 'cause of some rise in April. I wasn’t convinced at all, sounded dodgy and like a total scammer.

Had a sharp woman ring me up trying to pull a scam about some supposed maintenance fees I owed. She said she was from some "FDR regulated company," but honestly it felt like a typical call centre from South Africa, all chatter and pressure. I just pretended to be interested and kept her hanging so maybe she wouldn’t get around to bothering anyone who might actually fall for it.

They actually had my name right along with the postcode. They claimed I owned a housing association house and that there was a damp problem reported! It wasn’t true at all, but kinda worrying that they had accurate personal info about me.

I got a call from someone who said they were Lewis with the Halifax Consumer Association, telling me I had outstanding payments for a timeshare. Seemed a bit off to me.

I received a phone call recently from an individual claiming to represent the Harrogate Consumer Association. However, during the conversation, he switched his story to say he was with the Halifax Consumer Association instead. When I requested their website for verification, he then casually mentioned that he was actually affiliated with a marketing agency focused on reclaiming timeshare payments. I politely wished him well and promptly hung up.

This number rang my folks, and the woman on the line told them to get hold of me. She said her name was Alice Warner and claimed to be calling from Harrogate Advisory in Halifax. She went on about how companies named MGM and Honor Group had taken over Macdonalds' timeshare and were now reactivating old maintenance agreements. Apparently, they planned to bill past owners for a decade's worth of fees plus interest. Sounds like an absolute con to me. Watch out and don’t get caught up in it.

I had a phone call from a woman named Samantha who claimed to be providing guidance about timeshares. She mentioned she worked for something called the Harrogate Advisory Board. I couldn’t find any information about this organisation online, which leads me to believe it's likely a fraud. Although she was quite charming on the phone, I'm expecting her to get in touch again in a few weeks. If she does, I'll be all set for her!

Got a ring from Horton Financial saying there’s some sort of European Order of Payment against me for not paying maintenance charges, maybe linked to sorting out a timeshare deal. I checked with my holiday provider, and they told me Northgate Financial is just another name for European Debt Recovery, which turned out to be a scam. They reckon Horton Financial is connected to the same lot. Since the numbers check out, I’m pretty sure it’s all linked.

Got a call from someone claiming to be Northgate Financial about unpaid fees on a timeshare. They mentioned a court order with the reference SP3341653 and said we had 30 days to sort it. They linked it to MGM and tried to scare us quite a bit. When I asked questions, they got really rude and threatening, saying they'd send bailiffs if we ignored it. It all felt off and definitely a scam. Couldn't get rid of them easily either.

Got a call from someone saying they were with Northgate Financial, doing bits for Hilton about some unpaid maintenance on a timeshare. Checked it out on the Timeshare Business Check site, and looks a bit dodgy to me.

Some bloke called Roger rang me up saying there was a court order against us in Europe about some holiday rental. I told him we wrapped that up years ago. He pushed to know how we managed to close it, but I just told him it wasn’t his concern. He claimed to work for a firm checking if these claims were legit. When I asked for a court reference number, he gave me SP341653. I asked where he got my info from, and he said the Court had supplied it. I mentioned that might break GDPR rules and that he could be handling my data unlawfully. Since I was busy, I cut the call short.
