I picked up the phone and there was nothing but silence, no response at all, so I ended the call and looked up the number. This sort of thing happens pretty often whenever I answer and give out my company's name. I'm guessing these people assume it's a local number or something.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with O2, telling me I’d get a one-time code sent to my phone - which I did. The text had a clear warning about security, saying if anyone calls asking for the code, don’t give it out because they’re not O2 staff. Another message followed, telling me to never share the code, even with O2 employees, and to enter it to access my account. The caller was pretty pushy, demanding the code. Definitely a scam, and the voice sounded like it was from an Indian call centre. Total dodgy experience.
