I received a rather dubious call today from someone who said they were evaluating energy efficiency for firms such as British Gas, Eon, Scottish Power, and a couple of others. The individual probed me about things like double glazing, as well as the insulation in my loft and cavity walls. They indicated that an accredited technician would reach out to me later on, supposedly to give me a ring tomorrow. Quite the odd situation, if you ask me!

Got a call from a number I didn’t know, so I just let it ring until it went to answerphone like I always do. Nothing was left, so I ended up blocking it. Honestly, I’d never recommend calling back a stranger number - it’s often a trick to hit you with charges, like those premium rate scams. If it’s something important, they’ll ring again and leave a message anyway. By the way, I’m puzzled why this website mentions 'Halifax' like the caller is from the bank rather than the place itself. Does anyone else find that odd?

Not long after, a bloke called Adam, supposedly the manager, phoned from the same number, but we declined their offer. The number didn’t seem to connect to any clear company, so it’s a bit of a mystery who they really were.
