I picked up and some bloke just said "Hello," but there was like call centre noise in the back. Number wasn't saved so after seeing what others said here, I blocked it. Wonder how they even got hold of my number, been off the books and on the TPS for ages!

Some bloke with a weird mumble claimed he was from Homesafe and said he was local, offering a free survey. He even knew my name and kept saying he wanted to 'be friends.' Why cant they just get straight to the point without me having to ask? How do these companies even get hold of our names and phone numbers? If Im interested in any services, I’ll reach out myself, no need for them to bother me like this.

Got a call from someone named "Dave" who claimed he’d done roofing work for me before and asked if I remembered him. I told him I didn’t. Then he started saying he was opening a new shop nearby and wanted to offer a nice discount on any jobs needed. Even though I said I wasn’t interested, he kept pushing and eventually just hung up without saying goodbye. A bit of a pointless call for me, but could be worrying for anyone more vulnerable.

Some bloke rang me claiming he’d done some work before and asked if I wanted more roofing done. He promised £500 for my order. I told him I wasn’t interested but he kept pushing. I kept saying no, and then he said he was ‘on his way over with a ladder’. He never showed up, even though me daughter, sons, sons-in-law and four grandkids were all waiting! Thankfully, I’m not easily fooled and have a big family around, but I can imagine someone alone might’ve felt really worried.

This guy phoned me about fascias and soffits. I told him we’d already had that sorted and when he asked about any other jobs, I said we’ve got no funds left. Then I just ended the call. Three days on, like today, he called again asking for my husband about the same job. My husband told him to stop calling, but then he rang once more and I ignored it. He’s definitely a right dodgy bloke.

These folks are linked to Safestyle UK and are pushing home improvement deals (not windows though). We got new windows from Safestyle and received a £500 voucher for more home work, and that’s when the annoying calls kicked off from loads of numbers in London, Bradford and Halifax. They seem to be based in Bradford like Safestyle, and the people I've spoken to all sound like they’re from Bradford.
