Pretty sure this was the number. I get so many calls like this and every time I ask where they found my number, they just say 'thanks for the info' and hang up! What’s worrying is my Mum’s in Halifax too, which is where the call came from, so it makes me a bit concerned about her.

Got a really cheeky bloke on the phone with a Welsh accent asking about some accident involving someone who previously owned my number. He was coughing non-stop which made it tough to catch what he was saying. When I told him I’m not the person he wanted, he just hung up on me. Proper scammer!!!

Just got a call from these lot saying I might’ve been involved in a car crash and could get compensation. The bloke on the phone was really rude, kept asking for my name and DOB. Wouldn’t tell me where they’d got my number from (ex-directory, I think) or how they’d found my personal info. He had a Liverpool accent and flat out refused to take my home phone number off their list. Said some data firms sold them my info or something like that. Proper dodgy!

Sounds like a total scam trying to steal your info. They reckoned I was owed loads for a car crash, but I told them I don’t even drive and just sent the cash in the post. Then they just hung up. Someone needs to do something about these annoying pests making these unsolicited calls. Absolute morons. They seriously deserve to be taken to court for harassment.

First off, they had the audacity to use our first names, which felt quite off for a stranger making a cold call. Then, they went on to ask us about an accident, which was rather intrusive. That was enough for us to hit the block button!

didn't know the number so i picked up, heard a long silence then they just hung up. no one else had said anything about it here so i called back to check and got "number not available" message, looks like a dodgy scammer so watch out!
