This happened to my neighbour, not me. They got a call claiming to be from Lloyd's Halifax saying they'd been chosen for a 'lottery draw'. The person on the phone said if they paid £39 a month, the bank would buy 6 euro lottery tickets for them, and if they didn’t win, they’d get the £39 back. Luckily, my neighbour was smart enough to say no. They've reported it to both the police and Lloyd's, who confirmed there is no such thing on offer.
