i usually dont pick up calls from unknown numbers but today i just muted it and i could hear them saying “hello? hello? hello?” before they ended the call. Honestly, all these annoying calls are getting to me so figured i’d turn the tables and waste their time instead.

Got a call from someone claiming to be with Greater Manchester Transport doing a survey on how people’s travel habits have changed since Covid. When I mentioned we didn’t own a car, she quickly said we weren’t the kind of respondents she needed. Bit odd, really.

I got a call from a really polite guy who asked me by name if I wanted to take part in a phone survey. He said I’d get paid with vouchers from Marks & Spencer or Tesco, but I said no thank you quite nicely.

Just got a call at 8:28pm from a woman asking for my hubby. When I asked who was calling, she said something about Greater Manchester transport and wanted info on how COVID-19 had hit our neighbourhood. I told her we don’t want to get involved, and she hung up straight away. Thing is, the number started with 01422, which is Halifax in Yorkshire, not Greater Manchester - that usually starts with 0161! I’m pretty sure this was a scam trying to sound official.
