I might be mistaken, but if you decide to engage with them, make sure to stay vigilant and seek additional opinions or quotes for any suggested work.

A guy called saying folks nearby were ringing about possible government energy grants I could get. He asked questions about my home and insulation. We set up a meeting but nobody showed up. The next day I got two calls from the same number but wasn’t home and they didn’t leave a message. On the day I first got called, a man claiming to be their manager phoned about 15 minutes later to ask if the first caller was polite. They never asked for money or my bank details, but now I’m anxious about what info they might have and the risk of identity theft.

Just like I mentioned before, I went and checked out Eco Clear Systems, and saw there was once a business by that name in Halifax. However, it looks like it shut down back in 2020. The folks involved were called Gary Bacon and Dean James Sinclair.

I've had a couple of calls today from 01422 524154, the latest one was about 1.55 this afternoon. I’m based in the North East. I didn’t answer, just let the answer machine pick up. I got a call from a company named Clear Eco Systems saying they'd be doing free energy checks near me for the major energy providers. They mentioned they'd give me a certificate after and assured me there wouldn’t be any sales talk. They actually knew my name and address, and asked for details about my home and when I'd be around for the visit. But after ringing up my energy company, they told me they've no links with this firm and reckon it was probably a scam.
