I got a call from 1215 on a weekday right in the middle of the coronavirus stuff. Some strange bloke with an unidentifiable accent said he was from the TPS. I told him I was already registered with TPS and he just hung up straight away.

Watch out! Got a call from 01422 382854, someone said they were from the TPS, said it was a free service to block annoying calls. The guy was Asian and asked for my credit card details. I just hung up straight away.

"CAUTION! Received a call from someone purporting to be associated with the Telephone Preference Service, which, as we all know, is supposed to be free of charge. The caller's accent was distinctly foreign and they were probing for credit card details. Cut the call immediately!"
