Steer clear of these loan companies! They’re nothing but loan sharks. I started getting relentless calls from them almost immediately after I submitted applications for loans with Provident Finance and Vanquis Bank (for a credit card). I reckon one of these firms must have mishandled our personal information, allowing the sharks to get hold of it. What a right hassle!

We've got one of those fancy display phones, and today we've had these folks ring us twice. Some bloke rang up saying he was from a consumer firm, going on about money I supposedly owed from some old thing or accident. I received a call today from someone claiming that I was owed money from a previous bank account. The person introduced themselves as the consumer helpline and informed me that they were simply providing information. They then convinced me that I may have some money owed to me from a loan in 2008. They handed me over to a "colleague" who started asking me a series of questions. However, I told them that I was too busy and abruptly ended the call. To my surprise, the same person called me again thirty minutes later from a different number - 01216472889 - and identified himself as Ashley. He asked about my experience with his colleague. It is important to be cautious of these scamming individuals! They are completely despicable.

This company has just contacted our business number, our home phone, and even our mobile. They called from an 0844 number. I told them in no uncertain terms to take a hike!

I recently found out that this company, Discover Finance, is connected to payday loans. It seems they obtain your personal details whenever you fill out a loan application on the internet. Quite concerning, to say the least!

They were calling me repeatedly, but without leaving any messages. As a result, I have now blocked their number.

I received a call earlier, HulloMail indicated the number as 01422373222, but my iPhone showed a missed call from 0151 559 1141. Those tricksters!

The question is, why would you rely on a company that conceals its phone numbers? It doesn't make any sense to me.

There may be a potential PPI claim as I was told that I hung up on them the day before, even though that never happened. The interesting thing is that they called me from three different numbers. When I asked why they were using different numbers, they explained that it's because the calls get routed through various servers. However, blocking their number won't be effective as they will continue to call using different numbers.

My mobile phone does not ring when this particular number calls me. Instead, I receive a text message stating that I missed a call from that number. This unusual occurrence has happened three times within the past three days. Since I am not acquainted with anyone living in Halifax, I have decided not to call the number back, for fear of incurring charges for the call. As a precautionary measure, I have chosen to block the number.
