Had the most ridiculous call today from this number! The guy said he was ringing for a famous building supply firm. I asked which one exactly. He hesitated, couldn't recall the name. I said, well, if you can't remember, must not be that famous then? He said they deal with kitchens. I told him I wasn’t in the market for a kitchen. Then he claimed he wasn’t selling, just wanted some feedback. I said I hadn’t bought anything from them. At that point, I just burst out laughing and ended the call!

Got a call from this number around 8:30pm yesterday evening. The person was asking for a relative by name and said they were from National Savings & Investments (NS&I). Since it was so late, way past usual working hours, I found it quite suspicious straight away.

Funny thing, I actually had a bloke ring me yesterday from the same place, also Severn Trent. They were saying something about work they’re doing that could change my bill, but I’m not convinced. Got a call on my phone at around 8.20pm tonight. The caller said they were from Mid Suffolk District Council and wanted to do a survey. I told them it was a bit late for that and said they should just send me something in the post instead.

Someone called claiming they were carryin out water works nearby that might change our bill. When I asked for more info, they just wanted 15 minutes to explain it, but when I said I was busy, they said they’d ring back tomorrow. Got a call back on September 19th, 2017, a bloke wanted to chat with my missus. When I asked what it was regarding, he just said he couldn’t disclose anything ‘cause of data protection laws. I told him that’s alright but surely he could at least say which company he was from in broad strokes without breaking any rules. He insisted he couldn’t or else he’d be in some sort of trouble. Around half past six in the evening, I got a call from someone claiming to be from the local council, asking for my son who hasn't lived here for six years now. Got a call supposedly from Essex County Council, asking for my daughter but using her old surname, which she changed ages ago. They claimed they wanted her opinion about volunteering, but she's never been involved in anything like that and hasn’t had this phone number for well over a decade since she moved out. These dodgy calls should really be stopped. Plus, we’re signed up with the Telephone Preference Service so there's no excuse for getting pestering calls like this.
