Had the most ridiculous call today from this number! The guy said he was ringing for a famous building supply firm. I asked which one exactly. He hesitated, couldn't recall the name. I said, well, if you can't remember, must not be that famous then? He said they deal with kitchens. I told him I wasn’t in the market for a kitchen. Then he claimed he wasn’t selling, just wanted some feedback. I said I hadn’t bought anything from them. At that point, I just burst out laughing and ended the call!

I had a phone call yesterday from a chap claiming to be from Severn Trent, and earlier today, a lady introduced herself as Tracy Gilbert, also supposedly from the same company. It all feels a bit dodgy to me, especially as they mentioned some supposed works that might alter our bill. I can't shake the feeling that this might be a scam!

On the 19th of September 2017, I received a call from someone wanting to chat with my spouse. Naturally, I inquired about the nature of the call, but they insisted they couldn't divulge any details because of data protection regulations. I countered that while I completely understand the need for confidentiality, surely they could provide a brief overview of what their company does without breaching any privacy laws? But no, they maintained that revealing even that much would land them in hot water. Utterly ridiculous, if you ask me!

I received a call the other day from someone claiming to represent Essex County Council, inquiring about my daughter using her maiden name-a name she hasn’t gone by in donkeys! They were fishing for her input regarding volunteering opportunities, but she’s never engaged in that sort of work, not to mention she hasn’t had that phone number in well over 13 years since she moved out. It’s absolutely outrageous! These chancers should really be shut down. Plus, we’re on the Telephone Preference Service list, so we’re well within our rights not to be troubled by such calls!
