I tried talking to the firm but they refused to tell me who they were. I requested they erase my information, but they said they weren't able to, claiming they were complying with GDPR since I gave permission for the call. When I pointed out that GDPR also means they should delete my details on request, the person got quite hostile. She kept yelling and still wouldn’t reveal the company name, so I just ended the call. Honestly, best to just block and ignore them.

Got a call from some woman who somehow knew my name, she kept saying she wanted a “candid chat” but wouldn’t say where she was calling from. She kept trying to keep me talking but I just ended the call. Weird.
