I got a call claiming to be from BT saying my broadband was at risk and I had to speak to someone about it. After that, they try to push some software you supposedly have to buy to protect your PC from viruses and spyware. The ridiculous thing is, BT already provides all that stuff for free! Seems like a proper scam to me, best just to hang up and block the number.
