Loads of times I've got voicemails from them and even hit 9 to opt out. But today, a call came in and I just jabbed at some numbers by chance, ended up speaking to a guy who asked how I was and what he could do for me. Told him to remove my number since I've pressed 9 multiple times before. After that, he just went quiet and hung up on me. Quite rude really.

It feels like since Margaret Thatcher’s time, our phone numbers have been fair game for pushy sales tactics. 014198701230141 looks like a glasgow number but the 987 bit isn’t a real exchange there, so i was suspicious right from the start. got a voicemail from a woman saying there’s govt grants for solar panels and insulation upgrades, and that every uk home has to meet new standards by 2016 - which sounds total rubbish to me. i’ve had the same recorded message from a bunch of other cold calls with different numbers, probably all scams. this one’s gone straight to my call blocker, just like the others.
