Yesterday I only got a couple of calls from them, and believe it or not, she actually had the nerve to ring back after I ended the first call. I pressed her - can't remember her name now - asking who had given her details about my BT internet account, even though I don't use BT for my internet! She kept claiming she’d told me already, but I kept pushing and raised my voice demanding to know the source of her info until, finally, she just hung up on me. I’d say that counts as a win!

01419563010 called me, and it was a lady with an accent, saying she was from BT and my internet was at risk. I could tell straight away it was a scam call, but sometimes I like to see how far they’ll go. I didn’t give her any details, of course! If you get a call from this number, be very careful. When I challenged her to prove she was from BT, she even asked if I could understand English! All she kept repeating was that my internet wasn’t secure. I asked why BT hadn’t fixed anything if that was true. Pressed her for proof a few times and she eventually just hung up!

Just like what I've seen from others here. I received a call from a charming elderly lady with a Scottish accent, who insisted she hadn’t dialled my number. Interestingly, she mentioned she was having her own difficulties too. Quite the curious situation!

SCAM ALERT. Got a call from someone named "Jordan" claiming to be from BT's Technical Department. He said my internet was being hacked or something. When I questioned which company exactly he worked for, he just kept saying BT. Thing is, BT isn't an official company name - it's just short for British Telecom. He clearly wasn't clued up on that, probably because it’s not in his scammer script. I even asked if he recalled ringing me three times the day before. After that, this annoying scammer just ended the call abruptly.

Complete SCAM. You can hear background chatter like it’s some call centre. The call stays connected for maybe 30 seconds max before it just cuts off. They ring nearly every day, sometimes even a couple times each day. This has been going on for years now, and honestly, I’m beyond sick of these nonsense scam calls. It all kicked off when BT moved their Tech Support over to India. Did anyone seriously think this wouldn’t be a disaster?

Another one of these tales, just got called for the third time today. Some bloke with an Indian accent said his name was "Jordan" from a call centre. Said he worked in BT's Technical Department. Supposedly, there’s an issue with my internet. Problem is, I stopped using BT years back, so I asked why they’d even bother with my connection now? He had no proper answer and just ended the call. Total scam in my opinion. Trying to trick me into locking myself out and then charging to fix it. Honestly, what’s happening to the world these days?

On Bank Holiday Monday about 1:50pm, I ignored the call and later checked the answerphone but nothing was left. I’ve now blocked this number. I’m with BT and am thinking of using their free Call Protect service. This isn’t the first occasion either - I’ve had calls before from other numbers claiming to be BT. Definitely looks like a dodgy scam to me.
