got a voicemail saying i supposedly owe hmrc some back tax and that there’s a warrant for my arrest, telling me to press 2 to sort it. it’s definitely a scam - pressing that number would probably rack up loads of phone charges, which is exactly what they want. it’s like those dodgy emails telling you to open attachments, just don’t do it. if you get a random call like this, best not to press anything at all.

Got a call saying they were from HMRC, but it was definitely a scam. Watch out, don’t trust these calls!

Had a call the other day from someone claiming my husband was in a little traffic accident. I just hung up straight away - total scam, no doubt about it!

Got a call from some bloke named Barry with a Glasgow number, but he sounded proper English. He was trying to help with a tiny fender bender I never even had. Don't these guys have real jobs or something?
