I recently had a similar call, sounded like it was from BT trying to help me stop others using my internet. Everything felt fine at first, but when they asked to take full remote access of my computer, I got really suspicious as I had no way of verifying their identity. I decided to just end the call there. Still not sure if it was a legit call or some kind of scam.

Got this automated call warning my IP was hacked and they'd cut me off in a day. Total scam. I’ve blocked the number now.
