Said they were calling from Peoples Energy but when I looked them up all their contact numbers begin with 0131. They tried to sell me energy at a ridiculously cheap rate and asked for my bank details to sign up straight away. I declined and then got put through to a “supervisor” who I also turned down before ending the call. When I called the number back, all I got was some weird “echo test” message.

Got a call from some random number, called back on the landline and it said something about running an echo test. It mentioned anything you say will be repeated to check delay or something, then told me to end the call by hanging up or pressing the hash key. Bit odd if you ask me.
