12/12/18: Got multiple calls from 01417785729, a few times yesterday and a couple this morning. Picked up today and it was exactly as others said. You could hear a lot of noise in the background and a bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from the 'TPS', saying my subscription was about to run out. Total rubbish. I told him the only annoying calls I get are from him, then he just hung up.

I keep getting calls from this guy calling himself Sam Cooper, says he's from some call blocking company. He keeps asking for my bank card info, which sounds really dodgy. I've told him loads of times to stop calling, but the phone just keeps ringing. Seems like he's based in India or something. Proper annoying!

Some bloke with an Asian accent claiming to be from TPS called me. Didn’t give him a chance to say much, just told him I’m sorted and hung up straight away. Since then, the idiot’s called me like six times in the past hour! I suppose it’s their way of making sure people know nuisance calls are real. Honestly, paying extra for caller ID is totally worth it - at least I can choose when not to pick up.

Got a call from some Indian guy claiming to be from the Telephone Preference Service, telling me my block on nuisance calls was about to run out. I stopped him straight away cos it sounded like a total scam - the TPS in the UK is free and doesn’t expire. They’ve rang me not once, but three times today now. Someone keep ringing me from this number saying they’re Phil from TPS, sounds like they’ve got an Asian accent. Every time they start with "hi, how are you today?" and this is the fourth call I’ve got today alone! I’ve had loads of calls from this number lately. Doesn’t seem like the genuine TPS to me. Honestly, I’m so fed up and wanna find out who’s been giving my number out to these dodgy people. Proper annoying!

I got calls from this number a few times. The first time I answered, a lady spoke but then the call dropped. So the next times it rang, I just let it go to voicemail and didn’t pick up.

Being an elderly person with health problems, I got a call really early this morning - about 7.28am! When I finally answered, there was nobody on the other end. I’ve been signed up with the TPS for ages, yet these annoying calls just won’t stop. This isn’t the first time this number has disturbed my sleep; last time it was even earlier, around 7.20am. I got loads of calls today from some guy called Phil, sounded Asian and kept saying he was from the telephone preference service. Every time I picked up, there was a lot of noise in the background and his usual start was all polite like "how you doin' today?" as if trying to be all friendly. But once I asked straight up who was on the line, suddenly he drops the act and you see it ain’t true at all. It's been like 4 calls, really annoying.

got called like three times within an hour, each time no one on the other end, so i had to block the number using my bt call protect. what’s really frustrating is how these scammers now just grab numbers from network systems instead of regular phone lines, so they keep swapping numbers all the time. there should be stricter checks before handing out multiple numbers to stop these muppets. honestly, there doesn’t seem to be enough effort or urgency to tackle phone and internet scams properly.
