Got a call today from someone saying my BT internet, which I don’t even have, was running slow. Then he asked to get remote access to it. When I started questioning him about whether he’s involved in scams, trying to cheat people outta their cash, he just hung up on me. Classic scam attempt!

Received a call purporting to be from BT Openreach, stating that my router was exhibiting low power levels. The catch is, I don’t even use a BT router! Clearly a scam, if you ask me. Keep your wits about you, everyone. They’ll likely try to get you to hand over access to your computer.

At about 4:20 this afternoon, I got a call from this number. It showed up on my caller ID and I had a feeling it was some sort of scam, so I just ignored it. Pretty pleased I stayed safe and went ahead to block it straight away.

It's really annoying, they keep calling from different numbers. I've already blocked one and now this is another one jumping in. They told me about some "suspicious activity" on my router but I’m not buying it. Now I just put the phone down and block whoever it is straight away. One of their other numbers was 01482492416.

I got a call from some kind of call centre and there was loads of noise in the background, made it really hard to catch what the person was saying. He didn’t sound Asian or anything, just quite muffled. I’m guessing it was one of those marketing calls. Anyway, I’ve blocked the number now.
