Unbelievable that even now this phone number and similar ones keep popping up. I block it, then a day or two later, it rings again but with a small change in the numbers. How frustrating is that?

Honestly curious if anyone’s ever really been in an accident like this cause of these calls. They rang me a bunch and i usually just say no accident and end the call. But after they kept ringing every day for ages, i actually paid attention for a bit. They knew abou an accident we had in 2018 and asked for more info. I told them I’d get back with the exact date. Wondering if anyone here has actually shared full accident info with them?

There was nothing but quiet at first, followed by a sudden click right after I greeted the caller. Then, I was greeted by someone whose English wasn’t quite fluent, insisting I had been involved in a car accident.

Bit gutted I missed this call yesterday, they rang me on a different number last week about some ding on my car. When I said I don’t drive anymore, they quickly switched, asking if I was a passenger then. Definately another one for the block list!

Some company rang me saying I’d been involved in a crash. I asked how they got my info and wanted to speak to a manager. Then some bloke answered saying they got my data from the gov, which I knew was not true. I told them to delete my details under GDPR rules, but the manager just laughed and said no, then hung up on me. When I called back, they just cut me off straight away. Proper dodgy behaviour.

Somehow I supposedly had a car crash back in 2019. I couldn’t help but chuckle and then just ended the call. Definitely blocked after that!

Got a call this morning from 0141 769 0038 claiming to be from Auto Assess, saying I owed £1800 as part of a payout from a recent car accident. I asked for his name and he said "James Harvey." When I asked for his manager's name, he said "Dave," but when I asked for Dave’s last name, he just said he didn’t know. I asked for a contact number to ring back on and he gave me 0141 345 0910. Pretty sure this is a scam. Stay cautious everyone.

This lady claimed she was ringing from some Accident Insurance firm regarding a small no-fault crash I had recently. She knew my name but I just ended the call straight away. Totally dodgy call - I’ve blocked the number now!

Not sure, hard to make out the person 'cause of loads of background noise. When I mentioned I couldn't hear them properly, they just ended the call. They did know my name though, which was a bit unsettling.

Answered this number just now, told them I’ve never been in any crash and asked them to stop calling me. Was also curious how they got my digits. Then the guy, calling himself Charles, blasted out “bloody feminists” and just ended the call. Weird, innit?

i got called twice today. the first was just a voicemail on loop, then a woman called asking me if i was “mr x” to confirm my name. as someone who works in cyber security, i could tell it was a scam straight away. i was in the middle of something and annoyed, so i just said yeah it’s me and asked what they wanted, but they ended the call right away.
